Why are my markings thicker than normal?

When you draw, forScore emphasizes your markings to produce more natural and expressive results (called variable width drawing). forScore 11 includes a new way of calculating these variable width curves when using Apple Pencil or Logitech Crayon, and you may find that your drawings look bolder overall than with earlier versions of forScore. Open forScore’s settings panel and tap “Variable Width” to adjust this effect, if desired.

In some cases you may find that saving your changes takes longer than normal, especially when making extensive markings using larger drawing presets. This is most noticeable on older devices with larger screens, such as the 1st generation 12.9″ iPad Pro, and only applies when using Apple Pencil or Logitech Crayon. If needed, you can revert to the older technique by enabling “variable width 1.0” in the Advanced Options section of forScore’s settings panel.
