Drag and Drop

With iOS 11 and forScore 10.3, Drag and Drop lets you work more naturally and effectively than ever before. The combinations are almost endless, and once you’ve tried it for yourself there’s no going back. Here are just some of the things you can do:

  • Drop one or more PDFs, 4SC files, or text files from another app onto the page to import them and open the last one
  • Drop one or more PDFs, 4SC files, or text files from another app into the main menu to import them
  • Drop one or more PDF or 4SC files from another app into the setlist menu to create a new setlist, import those items, and add them to it
  • Drop one or more PDF or 4SC files from another app into an existing setlist to import them and add them to that setlist
  • Drop an image onto the stamp creator’s canvas
  • Drop one or more images into Darkroom
  • Drag a selection of drawn annotations to anything that accepts images, including the stamp creator, Darkroom, or other apps
  • Drop an image onto the page to resize, reposition, and place it as an annotation
  • Drag scores or bookmarks from the main menu or bookmarks menu into/onto a setlist (even between libraries)
  • Drag scores or bookmarks into the Setlist menu (in between other setlists or folders) to create a new setlist and add those items to it
  • Drag scores or bookmarks into the Rearrange panel to add their pages to the canvas
  • Drag scores from the main menu, setlist menu, or the search panel to copy the original PDF file to another app
  • Drag the current score from the main view’s title display to copy its original PDF file to another app
  • Drag a setlist item up or down within a setlist to rearrange them quickly
  • Drag items from one setlist into/onto another to add a copy to the second setlist (even between libraries)
  • Drag a setlist or folder around to rearrange it
  • Drag one or more setlists to move them into/onto or out of folders
  • Drag scores or bookmarks from the search panel into a setlist (even between libraries)
  • Drag setlists from the search panel into the Setlist menu (into or out of folders)
  • Drag one or more scores or bookmarks into the tab bar to open them in new tabs
  • Drag the current item out of the main view’s title display to open it in a new tab or add it to a setlist (even between libraries)
  • Drag an item into the main view’s title display to open it in the current tab
  • Drag an annotation preset left or right to move it
  • Drag MIDI commands and presets out of the Metadata panel’s MIDI section or the Buttons editor
  • Drag a MIDI command into the Open section of the Metadata panel’s MIDI editor to set an item’s MIDI shortcut
  • Drag one or more MIDI commands and presets into the Send section of the Metadata panel’s MIDI editor to copy them to the current item
  • Drag one or more MIDI commands into a MIDI Preset (tap the circled “i” button next to it) in the Metadata panel’s MIDI editor
  • Drag one or more MIDI commands or presets into the Buttons editor to copy them to the button’s sent commands
  • Drag MIDI commands and presets between buttons to copy their data
  • Drag MIDI presets and commands onto the page to create a new button
  • Drag to reorder MIDI cells in the Buttons editor
  • Drag to reorder Libraries
  • Drag to reorder Dashboard reports and goals
  • Drag to reorder Mission Control actions in the list view editor (tap the circled ellipsis button)
  • Drag to reorder Services accounts
  • Drag a directory or one or more files within the Services panel to move it between directories
  • Drag scores, setlists, backup files, CSV files, or audio files into the Services panel to upload them
  • Drag forScore backup files into the backup panel to import them
  • Drag CSV files into the Indexes panel to import them
  • Drag forScore setlist files into the setlist menu to import them and place them at a specific row and/or within a particular setlist folder
  • Drag audio files from other apps into the audio file picker to import them
  • Drag audio files from other apps into the recordings browser to import them and associate them with that score or bookmark
  • Drag audio files from other apps into the metadata panel’s track list or the media box to import them and add them to that score or bookmark
  • Drag local audio files out of the audio file picker, recordings browser, media box, or the metadata panel to copy them to other apps
  • Drag local audio files out of the audio file picker, recordings browser, or media box into a specific row of the metadata panel’s track list to add it
  • Drag non-local audio tracks from/into both the Audio section of the Metadata panel and the Media Box to link them to other scores
